We never get tired of an honest day’s work or the smile on our customers’ faces when we leave. One day, I realized that electricity was all around me.

It travels on thick cables strewn across the country and eventually makes its way to the humble outlet.

But how does it all work?

This fascination with electricity hasn’t let up a bit in 30 years. There’s always something new to learn, a new product to master, and a new gadget worth looking at.

I started like most people do, as an apprentice. For 10 years, I worked for other people until I could save up the money to go out on my own. That was 20 years ago, and I’ve never looked back.

I started my electrical Installation service in Houston with one beat-up van, and now we have a fleet of trucks that serve customers throughout Houston every day.

And we’re growing.

We work hard, make sure customers are happy, and we’re constantly learning new things. This combination has proven effective, and we’ve steadily grown year after year.

As a team, we’re addicted to helping people and doing work we can be proud of. We never get tired of an honest day’s work and the smile on customers’ faces when we leave.

If you take out an old phone book and compare it to a modern-day Google search like “electrical installation service near me”, you’ll notice something strange. Most of them are gone.

But here we are.

We’ve never taken the bait of lying to customers, doing substandard work, or overbooking our time. While we may not have a mascot or a jingle, we have one thing that most companies don’t.

Staying power.

You have a lot of choices in Houston. Make the right choice and just call Cravens because you can’t afford to do the same job twice, and life is too short for dealing with amateurs.

We live in Houston, and our crew is from Houston. We do honest work with no salespeople, gimmicks, or weird coupons.

Now that we all have computers in our pockets, you can find dozens of tree companies in Houston, but what that screen won’t tell you is who’s good and who’s bad.

In this business, finding that out too late can get you and your wallet in some serious hot water. Why not skip that altogether and call a company that really cares the first time around?

Consider this an invitation to see that when it comes to trees in Houston, we’re not playing around and there’s a good reason our customers from Memorial to The Woodlands tell their friends and neighbors about us.

Give a local business the gift of the spotlight. Let us know what sets them apart, and we just might feature them in our next edition.

    questions
    & answers

How do you make your final selections?

We interview each business owner. We take into account how long they’ve been in business, how much experience they have, what sets them apart, and what customers are saying.

Can we nominate a business again if they don’t get selected the first time?

Yes. We keep track of all nominations, but we get so many that there just isn’t a way to feature everyone. If a business gets multiple nominations, we’ll certainly take notice and give them proper consideration.

We were featured. How can we get a hard copy?

Just ask. We can send you a beautiful framed copy of your feature that you’d be proud to hang on any wall. Fill out the form above or send an email to

What if a business is really small?

Size doesn’t matter here. Quality is what we’re after. We’re looking for exceptional businesses that go above and beyond serving their community, regardless of their size.

    Can we nominate a startup?

Yes, but it will be tough to get featured. Our judges prefer to see some experience and a proven track record before being recognized
